How are we doing?

Blessings from Beyond

Ho ho ho and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukah or whatever you celebrate! It is a nice change to have some beautiful decorations and lights and feel some relief from the past 10 months of dark days. Here at WCCA, the Senior Santa has struck again! Thanks to bequests from the families of our late Transylvania County Quebec van driver, Revonda Wilson and former participant, Patricia Hall, we were able to purchase some fantastic items for our congregate folks. Pam McCall, Quebec Congregate Meal Site Manager and Lauren Street, congregate and mobile meals van driver put together holiday gift bags for Congregate Meal participants in the Quebec area.

Santa’s sleigh could barely hold all the goodies they picked for the lucky recipients. The contents of the bags were fun and cheerful, as well as useful. Food Lion donated holiday gift bags which were quickly filled with purchased items including a Food Lion gift card, several snack items, personal care products such as shampoo, soap, lotion and tissues, socks, gloves, word find game books, a notebook for keeping lists (and checking it twice), and a handy magnifying glass. The gift bags were recently distributed to some very happy clients. Here’s a smiling senior receiving his gift bag.

Good job, Senior Santa, good job!
